History of Italian food

Many of us prefer pasta of various kinds as main meals, which originally belong to the Italian cuisine, and it is one of the most famous International kitchens. Italian cuisine is famous for the simplicity of its ingredients and recipes, and relies heavily on vegetables in its dishes. Fruits, pasta, all kinds of cheese, potatoes, and meat. 

1.Italian pizza 

When it comes to pizza, the first thing that comes to our minds is the Margherita pizza. This type of pizza originated in the city of “Naples”, as it is a simple dish, but at the same time delicious. When ordering this popular dish from any local pizzeria, it will often be served with (thin, crunchy pizza with olive oil, garlic, basil, tomatoes, mozzarella, and parmesan cheese)


  • Three cups of flour. 
  • Two cups of warm water. 
  • Two tablespoons of instant yeast. 
  • Two teaspoons of olive oil. 
  • Two teaspoons of sugar. 
  • pinch of salt .


Put water, yeast, sugar and oil in a deep bowl and mix well. Put the salt and flour after sifting it into another deep bowl. Add the ingredients of the bowl that we prepared in the first step over the flour and salt, and knead well to make the dough soft and cohesive. Cover the dough with cling film and leave it to rest for an hour. Divide the dough into small sections and flatten it, and put it in the oven tray, and put pizza sauce, chopped vegetables, cheese, and other ingredients on it, and make it in the oven to bake  until it softens .

2.Italian fettuccine 


  • A bag of white or green fettuccine pasta. 
  • Five pieces of boneless, skinless chicken breast. 
  • Two cups of mushroom slices. 
  • A lobe of mashed garlic. 
  • A cube of chicken stock. 
  • A cup of chicken stock.
  •  Five tablespoons of oil. 
  • Three cups of cooking cream. 
  • a glass of water. 
  • Half a teaspoon of black pepper, dry thyme, basil, and Italian spices to taste. 
  • Shredded Mozzarella or Parmesan cheese, and processed cheese as desired .


  • We put water in a pot on the fire until it boils, and drop the fettuccine pasta in it, and let it boil until it softens, then put it in a strainer and leave it aside. We bring the pan and put the oil in it, and add the crushed garlic. 
  • Boil the chicken breasts well and cut them into cubes of medium size, put them in the pan, and stir the chicken with the crushed garlic. Add water, black pepper, chicken stock cube, and cumin, and transfer well until golden brown... Add mushroom slices, then let them cook for the future. 
  • Put the cooking cream and a cup of chicken stock in the blender and mix, then add this mixture over the chicken in the frying pan well, and leave it on a low heat. 
  • Turn off the heat and put all the ingredients of the pan on top of the boiled fettuccine pasta, sprinkle cheese on top, stir a little, then pour it into the serving dish. 

3.Italian pasta with cheese 

Pasta is an Italian food that offers a wide variety of delicious dishes. Northern Italians love pesto and Bolognese pasta. While the people of central Italy prefer “Carbonara” pasta dishes with tomatoes. Pasta is basically dough that can be formed into many shapes and sizes such as: spaghetti (thin strings), fusilli (spiral), and lasagna (sheets).


  • Macaroni rings wrapped. 
  • Two boxes of cream. 
  • Ten tablespoons of liquid cheese. 
  • Four grains of medium size tomatoes.
  • Four tablespoons of tomato sauce. 
  • Two medium size onions. 
  • Bell pepper, as desired, cut into slices. 
  • Sliced black olives. 
  • Two cups of cheddar and parmesan cheese. 
  • A little vegetable oil. 


  • Boil the pasta, then drain it. Put the oil in a frying pan, put it on the fire, then add the onions and stir. 
  • Add the chopped tomatoes on top of the onions, then the sauce, salt and spices, stir and let it simmer on the stove. 
  • We put the boiled pasta and liquid cheese in the baking tray, with black pepper, cream, and salt, and stir gently. 
  • Add the onion sauce over the pasta and cover the entire tray. 
  • We put another layer of black olives, and turkey pepper. 
  • Cover the face of the pasta tray with cheddar cheese and grated parmesan. 
  • We put it in the oven for a quarter of an hour, and roast it for five minutes. 



  •  3 cups of water .
  • 2 cups and a third of chicken broth .
  • A quarter cup of butter.
  • Half an onion, chopped .
  • A cup of rice .
  • Half a cup of cooking cream .
  • A quarter cup of grated Parmesan cheese salt and pepper as needed Chopped parsley for garnish

How to prepare:

  • Heat the water with the broth over medium heat until it boils, reduce the heat and leave it on the stove. 
  • Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan over medium heat, add the onions and stir until softened. 
  • Add the rice and stir for two minutes, then add a third of a cup of the broth and water mixture, and stir until it is absorbed. 
  • Raise the temperature of the fire and add another cup of broth, then leave the pot on the fire without covering it until all the liquids are absorbed. 
  • Repeat this step by adding a cup of broth each time and waiting for it to be absorbed until the amount of broth is finished. 
  • Leave it on fire for 25 minutes until it becomes creamy. 
  • Add the cream, cheese, salt and pepper and the rest of the butter, and stir for two minutes. 
  • Garnish with parsley and serve it .

5.lasagna with cheese 


  • 9 slices of lasagna .
  • 500 g of tomato sauce .
  • 220 g of low-salt and low-fat cheese,crumbled 
  • 1 egg 
  • ¾ grated Parmesan cheese 
  • 3 cups grated mozzarella cheese

How to prepare:

  • Put a little sauce in the bottom of a rectangular tray. 
  • Place 3 lasagna slices on top of the sauce. 
  • Mix the cheese, eggs and Parmesan cheese in a bowl. Put ⅓ of the mixture over the lasagna and ⅓ of the sauce. 
  • Spread a cup of mozzarella cheese. 
  • Lay out 3 more lasagna sheets, then add ½ of the remaining cheese mixture and ½ of the remaining sauce. 
  • Then sprinkle a cup of grated mozzarella cheese over it. 
  • Repeat the last step again. 
  • Put the tray in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for an hour.
